No More Falls calls for partners to bring Little Feet, Safe at Home to families
A gentle story for little ones finding their feet in a new home — and an invitation to help it reach the families who could use it.
No More Falls — Josh's Legacy is inviting housing associations, councils and family support organisations to help pilot Little Feet, Safe at Home, a gentle illustrated story for children aged 4–8.
Written by campaign founder Fiona Jane Garrett MCIPR, the book is designed to be read with a parent or carer. Through a little rabbit and its grown-up, it introduces windows, balconies, safe places to play and asking an adult for help.
It was created with particular thought for children moving into unfamiliar housing, including those whose circumstances change suddenly or who are living above ground level for the first time. Familiar activities and simple language offer a starting point for calm conversations, adapted to each child's understanding and way of communicating.
A story created in Joshua's memory
Fiona founded No More Falls after her son Joshua Robbins died in January 2026, aged 23, following the failure of a communal safety railing at his home in Holborn, London. The book is part of her work to help protect other families.
“I cannot bring Josh back. But I can work to help protect other families.”

The resource sits alongside the campaign's call for proper inspection, maintenance and testing where risk requires it, supported by clear records showing that safety barriers remain safe.
An invitation to pilot the book
No More Falls is seeking partners to explore a small pilot with families, gather feedback from children, parents, carers and staff, and help shape any wider rollout. Possible settings include tenancy welcome packs, family support visits and resident engagement work.
The aim would be to understand how families use the story, whether its words and pictures are clear, and what changes would make it more useful and accessible. Organisations interested in supporting printing, distribution or evaluation are also invited to get in touch.
Fiona hopes to develop translated editions and explore Braille provision with appropriate specialist partners, so that more families can access the resource.
Adults remain responsible for safety
Keeping children safe is always an adult responsibility. The story is intended to support shared reading alongside supervision, suitable window safety measures and properly maintained balconies and barriers. Children are encouraged to ask for help; they are never responsible for checking whether a building is safe.
